As part of strengthening our technical team, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer Python/Odoo for our Liège office. Your main mission will be to develop the Bimbal solution, a software vendor that partners with Connectic to build its integrated solution on Odoo. You may also be involved in the evolution of our Odoo-based solutions, either for client projects or for our internal Odoo system.
Connectic supports both public and private companies in implementing innovative digital solutions. Our mission is to optimize the monitoring of resource fleets, streamline processes, and improve the productivity of our clients.
We offer technical solutions in three main areas:
- - Fleet Management & Assets Tracking: tracking of machinery, vehicles, and equipment
- - ERP Integration and Specialized Management Software
- - Custom App: custom development of web and mobile applications
Tasks and responsibilities
Needs analysis and client support
- Attend meetings to fully understand their expectations
- Transform these needs into functional specifications
- Estimate the workload associated with developments
Client support and guidance.
- Assist in the production deployment
- Create personalized client spaces
- Train users and answer their questions
Debugging and process improvement
- Analyze and correct bugs on the entire technical stack (back-end, front-end)
- Help solve customer problems and suggest improvements
Product development and maintenance
- Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules.
- Contribute to the development of vendor solutions integrated into the Odoo environment.
- Manage the compatibility of Odoo modules across different major versions.
- Manage databases, develop REST APIs
Documentation and collaboration
- Write and update technical documentation
- Communicate with technical and sales teams
What is Bimbal?
Bimbal is a solution that optimizes the management of complex projects for businesses, particularly in the construction sector. Integrated into the Odoo environment, it operates as an add-on module requiring a dedicated license per user. Designed to enhance operational performance, Bimbal structures processes, strengthens monitoring, and facilitates decision-making in specific business contexts.
From a functional standpoint, Bimbal offers a rich set of features: Its BIM module centralizes cost calculations, sales pricing, change orders, and tenders within a single model. Thanks to Variants, it automatically manages change orders, compiles data from each version, and ensures a smooth transition from preparation to production. Finally, the Calculation module (takeoffs) provides advanced mathematical capabilities (variables, conditional and scientific functions), with decentralized and reusable quantity takeoffs, enabling accurate quantity management before moving to financial sizing.
Training and prerequisites
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science
- B driving license
- Reside within a 50 km radius of Sprimont
Soft skills

Technical skills required
- Strong command of Python
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Odoo development.
